Resilient Communities Starter Kit

The Resilient Communities Starter Kit is a guide for communities who are ready to build resilience to the impacts of climate change but are looking for a place to begin.

Tailored for communities in the Intermountain West, the Starter Kit offers a DIY process, showcasing activities that help communities understand their specific vulnerabilities and opportunities. It offers actions, resources, and links to additional information to help prepare for climate-related impacts such as increased wildfire, drought, flooding, excessive heat, and other extreme weather events.

To accommodate the unique context of each community, the Resilient Communities Starter Kit showcases a broad spectrum of strategies to develop cohesive and effective policies, plans and programs. Resilient Communities and Watersheds also offers a facilitated Resilient Communities Workshop; contact ClimateResilience@sonoraninstitute.org for more information.
